The Daily Delve

Attempting to delve into the inner workings of my mind at 6pm on a Friday, and ask it to spew forth intelligent thoughts to establish this blog is probably a tall order. Ideally, I would go away and mull over this virgin entry for a long period of time, until I was satisfied that it displayed equal parts humour, wit, wisdom and, my most natural reflex, sarcasm, before I even considered motioning towards the scary-looking PUBLISH POST button.

But in the interest of defying social commentary protocol, and in what will hopefully become a characteristic bird flip to myself and those around me... I will forge ahead.

I want to write a blog for three reasons.

1). I love to write. I love to write very much and I hope that one day, when the sun sets on my globe trotting, adventure seeking, nomadic events career, that someone (or someones) will pay me handsomely to do it for a living. I like writing because not only do I have a lot to say, but I also believe I'm capabling of expressing a superior sense of humour, insight and aforementioned sarcasm, than the average blogspot dork.
2). There are some talented writers out there, who enrich my life daily. Especially those really bitter, twisted opinion piece people like Marieke Hardy and Catherine Deveny. I want to be like them.
3) Using up my word count on this blog will hopefully reduce the number of instances where I make some poor souls' ears bleed after too many reds, when I have a head full of steam about onethingoranother.

So there you have it. The vision and mission of this blog.

Stick with it.

This is a personal blog. The opinions expressed here are my own and are not intended to either represent or malign my employer, or any other organisation, company, group or individual. In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time. I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open, inquisitive and sometimes frazzled mind. This blog is intended to provide a snapshot of my own thoughts and little else. Comments on each post are welcomed, however I do reserve the right to remove any comments at my own discretion.
